Avalon Journal of Law invites dedicated and detail-oriented students to join our team as Student Editors and Volunteers on a rolling basis.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- Law students at any stage of their academic journey
- Students with a keen eye for editing, research, citation formatting, and legal writing
- Individuals passionate about academic publishing and journal work
Note: All core editorial roles are currently filled. This intake is for supplementary student roles supporting the editorial board.
Roles & Responsibilities
Depending on the assignment and your skills, you may:
- Assist in reviewing and proofreading submissions
- Format citations (Bluebook/standard formats)
- Conduct background legal research for upcoming themes
- Help in footnote verification and plagiarism checks
- Support publications and editorial cycles
- Participate in content planning and communications

Time Commitment
We expect a minimum commitment of 2–3 hours per week for a duration of at least 2 months. The role is voluntary and remote, with flexible working hours.
