Publication Ethics & Integrity

At Avalon Journal of Law, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing and scholarly integrity. The following principles guide our publication process:

1. Authorship & Originality

  • Submissions must be the original work of the author(s).
  • Proper credit must be given through accurate citations.
  • Plagiarism or duplicate submissions will lead to automatic rejection.

2. Peer Review Transparency

  • All research papers undergo a single-blind peer review process.
  • Reviewers must evaluate work fairly, confidentially, and without conflict of interest.

3. Conflict of Interest

  • Authors must disclose any financial or personal interests that could influence their research.
  • Reviewers and editors must recuse themselves if a conflict exists.

4. Corrections & Retractions

  • If significant errors are found post-publication, we will issue appropriate corrections or retractions in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

5. Data Integrity & Reproducibility

  • Authors are encouraged to maintain research data and notes to facilitate transparency and reproducibility.

6. Academic Misconduct

  • Avalon takes a strict stance against:
    • Fabrication or falsification of data
    • Ghost authorship or honorary authorship
    • Improper citation manipulation

We reserve the right to report confirmed cases of misconduct to relevant academic institutions or authorities.
